snow
February 13th, 2010 by Matushka DanielleIt snowed last night and this morning we awoke to somewhere around 7 inches of the white stuff on the ground. It was really pretty. We took a walk this morning and got some good pictures for posterity since Miss Martha won’t remember her first snow.
She went to the pediatrician on Friday. She’d gone for two whole weeks without a bowel movement, so we had to get that checked out. Dr R said there wasn’t anything physically wrong, but that since two weeks was really too long to go without going, to give her a suppository. It worked within 15 minutes. You don’t want to know what two weeks worth of poo looks like.
Sleep is slowly increasing again. We’re up to 3 or 3.5 hours at a time. So I’m waking up three or four times a night which is still more than I’d like, but it’s way better than six or eight times. She’s also getting to be a bit more efficient with nursing so instead of being up for at least an hour every time, I’m usually only up for 30 minutes. Napping is still hit or miss. She did two hours in the pack & play the other day. But today she only did 20 minutes there. If she’s on my lap she can seemingly sleep forever.
An interesting occurrence tonight upon going to bed. As I put her in the crib her eyes popped open. Usually when her eyes pop open upon putting her down, she has this very accusatory/ betrayed look… and I don’t even put her all the way down before I immediately pick her back up again and nurse her until she’s really asleep. But tonight when she looked at me, she didn’t have that expression, so I took my hands away. She rolled into the weird head-at-90˚-to-the-body position that she likes to sleep in, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.
And now I’m off to get my at least two hours before she wakes up.
